Following program completion, the graduate is eligible to take a national certification examination such as the one administered by the Ameri-can Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Registry. Upon passing this exam, the graduate will be certified as a Phlebotomy Technician, PBT (ASCP).
Completion of this course also establishes eligibility to take the national examination in phlebotomy given by the ASCP to become certified as a phlebotomist. Successful completion of this course does not itself insure certification.
